The Vurger Co Ltd
A vegan burger chain, entered administration on 28 April 2023 after the company's operations were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Brexit and the cost of living crisis. On their appointment as Joint Administrators, Andrew McTear, Joanna Watts and Christopher Newell of McTear Williams & Wood secured a pre-pack sale of the business to a new company formed by Vurger Co's founders with support from several investors. The chains' Canary Wharf location is set to close, but three sites in Manchester, Brighton and Shoreditch will remain onpne. General Subsidiary 2 Limited has registered a charge against the company.
