Williams & Wood was founded by Andrew McTear, Chris Williams and David Wood
in 2000. Andrew McTear and Chris
Williams had previously worked in the corporate recovery area of a “big 4”
accountancy firm and when it and other large firms scaled back their regional
offerings this left a gap in the market.
Together with David Wood, who ran a successful Suffolk based insolvency
advisory business, they decided to build a specialist business rescue and
insolvency firm to fill that gap.
from offices in Norwich and Ipswich the firm grew rapidly from 6 to 50 people
opening offices in Cambridge and London along the way. Today McTear Williams & Wood is one of
the largest regional business rescue and insolvency specialist firms in the UK
offering a one stop corporate and personal advisory and insolvency service.
