McTear Williams & Wood is a Business Rescue and Insolvency practice with offices in Norwich (with a view of the Cathedral), Ipswich and Cambridge. McTear Williams & Wood has selected DocuSoft document management software for their choice of 'less-paper' system.
Andrew McTear, Partner at MWW says 'with the development of our business and increased activities amongst multiple offices we needed to provide a better structure for handling and storing case-related correspondence no matter where members of our team were working. A key requirement has been to make our team as efficient as possible. We have also wanted to improve the accuracy of our filing and record-keeping to meet regulatory compliance standards. This means emails and scanned papers needed to be effectively stored together for each case.
"With the integration of DocuSoft with our IPS system, we decided to take a closer look to see what DocuSoft document management software might do for us. We undertook a review of the system in conjunction with an internal working party which looked at our own procedures and how we might best improve our internal efficiency and processes. As a result of this review we decided that Docusoft would provide the best system for us and the decision to proceed was taken.
"We have achieved beneficial results from adopting the Docusoft system. Filing of emails with other case correspondence is simpler and our team can now share case correspondence and check on progress of individual items of post very easily. The ability to pass post to individuals no matter in which office they are based is proving a valuable and time-saving facility. Senior staff and case administrators spend less time filing papers. Documents are more accessible to all staff working on a case and it is easier to monitor workloads and ensure correspondence is replied to on time and followed up. Also it is effectively impossible to lose any documents and emails. If a document gets filed in the wrong place you can easily find it using the search facility.
"Most importantly our staff like it as it is making their lives easier."
