Summary

Kelly joined McTear Williams & Wood Ltd in 2020 and has over 10 years’ experience within the insolvency and restructuring sector, having previously worked for a number of boutique insolvency practices across East Anglia.

Kelly qualified as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2026 and advises on a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency matters.  She has particular experience in supporting charities and not-for-profit organisations facing financial challenges, providing pragmatic and sensitive advice tailored to their specific governance and regulatory requirements.  She acts as an Insolvency Practitioner in all forms of corporate and personal insolvency, including:

  • Administrations – including pre-packs and trading administrations.
  • Liquidations – both solvent and insolvent.
  • Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs).
  • Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs).
  • Bankruptcies.

Experience

  • Kelly manages a diverse portfolio of appointments across a range of sectors and has extensive experience supporting charities and charitable organisations.  Her work in this area includes advising trustees on their duties, assisting with both formal insolvency procedures and informal restructuring options as well as handling cases which require a high degree of sensitivity and stakeholder engagement.
  • She is also experienced in managing cases from initial advisory stage through to closure, acting as a key point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the process.

  • JIEB qualified (passed both Corporate and Personal papers in 2024).
