Kellys Bakeries Limited closed having entered liquidation

Last Updated: 27/07/2026

Jo Watts and Andrew McTear of McTear Williams & Wood were appointed as joint liquidators of Kellys Bakeries Limited on 22 June 2026.

Kellys Bakeries Limited was incorporated in December 2014 and traded successfully as a bakery selling fresh goods to local customers.  The company operated from three sites on the outskirts of Norwich in Norfolk with the manufacturing production at one of those sites.

The Company had suffered increases in costs of stock and utilities in the years leading up to the liquidation which had a detrimental affect on profit margins.  Even though the directors’ cut costs where possible it was not sufficient for the company to return to profit.  In December 2025 the directors tried to find a buyer for the business but ultimately this was not successful and in April 2026 the company sought advice from business rescue and insolvency specialists McTear Williams & Wood.  The company employed 14 staff across the three premises when the company entered liquidation.

McTear Williams & Wood have sold the assets of the company which comprised equipment, plant and machinery and furniture and fittings to an unconnected party.  Any creditors with a claim in the liquidation should contact 01603 877540.
