Charity bowls tournament in Diss raises £2,400

A homeless support charity stands to benefit from a £2,400 donation following a successful charity bowls event at Diss and District Bowls Club last month.

Thirteen teams of professionals from across the region competed in the annual bowls tournament, organised by East Anglia business rescue and insolvency firm McTear Williams & Wood, with contestants keeping the tradition of wearing novelty slippers.

The funds raised will go towards St Martin’s Housing Trust, a Norwich-based foundation that provides direct access accommodation, residential care, support and development to homeless people.
