90 redundancies at steelwork contractor

DGT Structures, a construction contractor specialising in structural steelwork based at Lenwade near Norwich, has gone into administration with 90 redundancies.

Chris Williams of administrators McTear Williams & Wood, said: “We can confirm that a number of DGT contracts are currently being completed which will improve the position for creditors, and that 29 staff have been retained to assist with this process. Unfortunately, 90 DGT staff have had to be made redundant.” The administrators arranged for all weekly wages to be paid on Friday 21 February. Chris William added: “Anyone interested in all or part of the business should contact us immediately on 01603 877540. We already know of a number of interested parties and will be talking to them straight away with the aim of agreeing a sale of DGT’s business and assets shortly.”
